With this I've about reached the end of the story, the last chapter is just some 4koma's. This manga, with lots of text and many small stories, certainly was a slow burner, something that can't be read in a day. Instead it needs to be experienced over the course of some weeks.

As far as romcoms go this was very good, almost comically so. The story is very good, showcasing slice-of-life before taking a sharp turn towards arcs around chapter 70. The hints and details about Avalon and Galaxy Union released in the previous chapters come together here. However the pacing on most chapters was off, preventing this from being great.

The art was very good, showing dynamic facial expressions and the large ships and worlds expected of sci-fi. However it was always somewhat grainy and cramped, preventing this from being great.

Lastly the characters were very good. Kazuto and Narue defend their life against larger, government forces that want them separated. Maruo and Yagi acting as solid side characters. I in particular enjoy seeing the two working as equals, neither one experienced on how to love the other, and finding out together. That much was touching.

Overall a very good story, and a classic of 2000's manga, although the large text bubbles and dated art style prevent it from being truly modern. A shame the English paperback publisher went defunct after just 4 volumes, still I will hunt for them regardless.

8/10.
