Okay so having already seen the entire story, looking back at this scene you can tell that its meant to make you see Naruto as determined, filled with conviction. However now, Jiraya is honestly spitting facts. Honestly Jiraya is right about Sasuke, he is not ever suppose to change. This is a path that he chose, he knows Orochimaru just wants to use him for himself and he still willingly chose to head to his side. It astounds me that Naruto and Sakura don’t ever stop to think about how Neji and Choji almost died trying to retrieve Sasuke, but he still chose to join Orochimaru, the guy who killed the Third and attempted to destory their village. This is a bit of a spoiler but in the future, Naruto and Sakura will still act with the idea that Sasuke needs to be SAVED. They never want to acknowledge that this is what Sasuke wants to do, and they will continue to see him as a victim despite the fact that he is fully aware of the choices he’s making. at the end of the story when Sasuke returns to being a leaf ninja, feels unrealistic and forced. I wish Sasuke would just continue being a rogue and became a vigilante as a way to make up for his wrong doings. It feels like he shouldn’t get together with Sakura and make a family. Sakura should’ve moved on from Sasuke and Naruto could at least be glad that his old friend won’t continue down wrong path after everything that happened. That is if Kishimoto wasn’t willing to have him die at the end.

. I like Sasuke‘s development going the path of wrong but I don’t like how Naruto and Sakura pretend that Sasuke isn’t a bad guy. Yeah Naruto, you are a fool and you also don’t look cool saying that, you just look pitiful because you can’t see how things currently are.
