I find that this comic doesn’t explain the maths behind the tuning process very clearly, so here is some further reading for those who are interested:
The comic labels keys by their overall number in the 88-key sequence, rather than by the octave they’re in. For reference, key 37A on page 36 is the A just below C4 (middle C).

You know, I just randomly clicked on it thinking it would be another one-shot about music. But now, having finished it, I realize it wasn’t just about music or healing, it was about presence of other in your life, The kind of quiet, unassuming presence that stays with you long after the last note fades.

Both leads seem like mirrors. Fragile, imperfect, and extremely human. Their journey wasn’t flashy or groundbreaking and it didn’t need to be. What I really liked that there was no rushed romance or forced drama, just two souls finding solace in each other’s presence.

What stays with me the most is how this story avoided melodrama. No grand declarations, no sweeping resolutions, just two people learning to exist together, learning to be a little less afraid. There’s something hopeful about that. The art is extremely minimalistic yet it suits the story really well. It really captured the simple yet beautiful feeling.

It’s a simple story. But simple doesn’t mean shallow. It’s the kind of work that leaves you quiet for a moment, thinking about the cracks in your own life and the people who’ve helped fill them.

9/10 – Would tune pianos for free if it meant reading more like this.

This reminds me of why I started reading manga a long time ago, specifically the feeling when I first read Solanin and some of HERO's works.
