So... the one who actually committed the murders was the first child? Or was it really the second child? I remember inconsistencies in the story, stuff like her IQ changing and whatnot... but I think that was in childhood, and there was a whole history of her working and being involved with different men. If that was second child, and first child died before teen years, then how old was second child when doing all that stuff?

Also... if the girl who's been arrested was under-age all this time, that would explain a LOT about her erratic behaviour. A 20-25 year old psycho serial killer is one thing, but one who's 15? Possibly one who's been framed? The whole situation might make you actually go crazy and lose your mind.
Most likely the first child is the one in the suitcase from the previous chapters, so she died as an infant. A few years later, the mom had another child and gave her the first child's identity. The IQ changes part is understandable, because the reason she could not keep up with her elementary school was because she was still a kindergarten kid.

Wasn't the IQ change that she got a lot smarter as an adult? I'd have to go back and re-read, but my recollection is that Shinju originally was a shy, dumb, fat kid, but then in teenage/adult years became a lot smarter and skinnier. So it makes me think the switcheroo happened when the original Shinju was in middle school.

This is complicated I wonder how they’ll do things for the live action bc I near it’s gonna be a movie rather than a multi ep drama
