I sincerely disagree. For about 60ish chapter all author-san did was use the same old recipe "I give names back. sometimes, they mean and attack me. even though I am 'strong', I jus squeal. i can't tell ppl I can see ayakashi. cryyyy". For the last couple chapters, my boy has overcome his trauma in a way that he found ppl he can confide in. He has refrained from getting needlessly involved with ayakashi. He has fought back against low-level ayakashi that step to him.
Beyond that, the storytelling has become much more progression-oriented. Instead of using the same old recipe, the MC actually is advancing towards becoming whole.
