@blueoddog I agree. Was the last part a time-skip? And is the series done? If not, I really hope the adopted son and her dont fall in love (just coz that trope has been done to death)

It was interesting and fun seeing how dated this manga is with the type of phone they use, and the reference to Zaire since it no longer exists under that name. (Now the Democratic Republic of Congo, even though there's nothing democratic republic about it since it's run by a murderous totalitarian regime now.) This seems to be a little known manga, but it's gotta be a classic because it's so good, even after all this time.
The time skip was a little confusing, but no big deal.

It was first published in 95. Can't believe that it has been over 20 years since I read it last time.

@Amicusj Glad you're enjoying it a second time. I didn't even know manga and anime existed in 95. My children taught me about it in the mid 2000's and I started reading only about 8 years ago. Reading manga and webtoons is one of my favorite me-time hobbies now.
