The doodle one isn't a negative. It's motivation to do better next time, even if this time was a good one.

It's very negative.
It devalues their time and work into nothing. People prefer acknowledgement for something they consider a genuine effort. They value it. It's a defense mechanism to avoid criticism and getting hurt but it kills their self-esteem anyways.

I like to think that my opponent is a straight up cheater who stacks their deck and also stacks my deck against me.

But srsly though, if I can't get out of a bad hand in any given turn, it means the deck isn't consistent enough, which subsequently means the deck wasn't constructed well enough either. Deck construction is one of the basics of these kinds of card games. It pays to understand the basics.
