this didn't make much sense. He could have defeated it so many times. they were inside an wider area but then chose to run into a narrow path just to later say they need to go to a wider area so they can fight. If they were planning to fight, why run?
The big, wide, open space they came from lets the thing endlessly repair itself, the hallways limit their options for dodging its attacks, and their friends/exit to the dungeon is right around the corner.

The place that let it endlessly repair itself was the white space they were before, not the other wide space that they got in after leaving the white space. Even then, the MC could do damage to it that can't be fixed.

Damn, what an absolute trooper - lost most of her body multiple times over, and still stayed in the fight 'til the end there. I can definitely see why she'd be an extremely fearsome opponent under normal circumstances. Also, if there's one thing that'd show up in the nightmares of an Eldritch abomination, Raizer would definitely be it.
