I mean, the disguise thing to a small degree (Miyamura does it for a reason, here it's just so people don't see him buying shoujo manga), but other than that? What exactly is the same? There's a lot of other FAR more similar series though of MC bucks up and helps a girl and then romance (even in Horimiya he helps the brother). Of course I couldn't name a single other series I'm talking about because like this one they're all mid as fuck.I PR'ed this chapter and I cannot stress how much this reminds of Horimiya, but without HERO's writing skills. No offense to the mangaka or anyone else involved in creating this manga, but if you want a more nuanced story I would STRONGLY advise reading Horimiya if you haven't already. It's a genuinely good romance and I am not at all an unbiased source (I think I've read it like 5 times over). Who knows, maybe this story gets better, but for now I can't see it as anything but Horimiya at home xd.

Horimiya WAS written in a shounen mag!If Horimiya written in Shounen.
Can't deny the introduction of characters is mid, especially MC is trying so hard to be a loner.
