Fair point xd. The main thing is that the fmc (forgot the name) IS ALSO IN DISGUISE AS A MUCH MORE PLAIN PERSON. It’s also mostly vibes ngl, this manga just gives horimiya at home vibesI mean, the disguise thing to a small degree (Miyamura does it for a reason, here it's just so people don't see him buying shoujo manga), but other than that? What exactly is the same? There's a lot of other FAR more similar series though of MC bucks up and helps a girl and then romance (even in Horimiya he helps the brother). Of course I couldn't name a single other series I'm talking about because like this one they're all mid as fuck.
There is one for part of your request - https://mangadex.org/title/86d25eac...-koukou-seikatsu-wo-kanojo-ga-kaeyou-to-shiteI really want to read a story where the loner guy is actually just a loner. But he's not awful at communicating, he could participate in events normally with no problem, and there's no cliched "popular girl fell in love" or "I fell in love with popular girl". So it's basically just a simple and plain story of the guy's life as a highschooler (with all the baggage that comes with being in puberty).
...I guess I have to make that myself lmao.
I've read this one. The 2 or 3 volume is pretty good. Ater that it kinda... Meh, though. Still, ty for the rec. There is one for part of your request - https://mangadex.org/title/86d25eac...-koukou-seikatsu-wo-kanojo-ga-kaeyou-to-shite
Yes it's got a bit of a standard plot and probably popular girl will end up with him, BUT the whole premise is the MC is ACTUALLY a loner, not bad at communication particularly, and fairly normal overall and that's a major plot point and it isn't nearly as poorly done as most HS romances since it's well written and romance isn't the main focus early on - relationships in general are.
If that's what you think this is, you got baited successfully.Nerd loser gets with popular hot rich girl. What an original and intriguing concept.
First several volumes of Makeine are right up your alley. V6 onward might not be so much so, but they're the consequence of those first five.I really want to read a story where the loner guy is actually just a loner. I thought he was a playboy in his free time, I'm disappointed. I'll stick around for a bit and see where it goes.
