This is my problem with negative character arcs like this one: the reader does not feel REWARDED for putting up with it.
Safi only brings up that Shibuki's body was cold to the touch after the two made up, so her apprehensiveness to making love with him was only justified retroactively.
When the bracelet broke, the heroes ran out of leads to either another item like that one or a route to the Demon King.
I think the worst part of this chapter is that Rico only casually brings up that the bracelet would've enabled Shibuki to wield the Holy Sword for a little while longer. Which means they're in an even WORSE position than the previous chapter. Great job, Rico, letting them throw away a long-term advantage for a (failed) chance at consummation.
