I'm gonna guess that those two zombies are the previous Hero and Wizard, similar to our protagonists. The Grand Saint must've blamed God for all the misfortune that happened and that he indirectly caused their deaths, which was what led her to rebel.

She's basically the failed version of the current party.

To be honest I think it kind of makes the story worse if God has some sort of legitimate evil machination behind things, like actually being super against saving monsters or the sort. Doesn't have to love them, just accept them. He's a much more interesting character as just a ditzy doting father with an ultimately pretty good heart rather than the typical bad guy. As cliche as it is, I hope this just ends up being a misunderstanding on Soffione's part and God's doing nothing (intentionally) wrong, or she's just straight up crazy. Either that or an unknown third actor is manipulating her.

For those who've read Jitsu Wa Watashi Wa, he reminds me a lot of Genjirou.
