Rly been enjoying this manga, just dont understand why the author made him 15.. 17 for a manga woulda been totally fine. Only way i can see why is maybe theres gonna be a timeskip at some point. At the end of the day he looks mature enough and its fictional so i dont actually care too much, also makes more sense on why shes so against dating him ig.

i think we REALLY gotta understand that the age of consent in japan is 16; so this kind of stuff is insanely normal in japan. but i do think that the guy shouldve been 17 nonetheless

Technically the age of consent in most of the US is also 16, and I don't think any country has laws against age gap dating as long as nothing sexual happens. Even with those, the reason it's looked down upon is for social/moral reasons, not legal ones.

Yeah but it's not the same. A 21yo dating a 14 or 15yo (I forgot how old is the MC) is weird and bad but having that age difference as adults (20+) is fine.
