Need help finding manga where the main character's friend dies in chapter 1 and now he has to deal with his friend's heroines

As stated in the title. I'm pretty sure the manga never had too many chapters before it was discontinued. The only other thing I know is that the friend was a shota compared to the protagonist and he died of an illness. As well, the entire school mourned his death and we are introduced to the heroines' crying at his funeral or at school when they held a ceremony for him. I think the protagonist had spiky hair.

Is it Hikaru ga Chikyuu? The manga is pretty much just an advertisement for the novel, hence why it's short.
