It's starts with a white-hair noble from a cold territory. At a party, he is looking for a spouse and at love at first sight, proposes to a red-hair soldier.
She is a respected bachelorette that will be retiring from military service.
She accepts his proposal but asks for a trial marriage because she has her own reservations. Because of the harsh conditions of his territory, previous candidates have left prematurely.
He is insecure about the whole ordeal but as she is a hardy person, her tenacity and willingness are surprising.
The story is a a Slice of Life that is more structured (not episodic). The life theme shares the wonderful, the ugly and the mundane.
And the food is simply wonderful! Cooking isn't a major theme, but their food had me drooling! There are also hunting aspects, and interactions with neighbors. Even the theme of the old meeting the new - A certain xenophobic grandpa certainly left a strong impression.)
There is no conclusion as life goes on~
This is also the first that I'm looking for two stories! Thought I'd just open one thread instead of two. I really had no better words to describe it: "dreamy cafe avenue". It's a [Completed] manga about a girl (or adult because the art style is very squishy), who has no idea why she has woken up where she has. She woke up in a cafe, the owner oji-san welcomes her and allows her to stay. Housing is upstairs and downstairs is a cafe, though it operates at it's own pace. Initially there only customer was a large cat the size of the building. It's a Slice of Life and lacks distinct features without spoiling it... then again I'm the person looking for the series, heh. There is a witch avenue with two little ones and their big brother, a library bakery, a bar, and a large open market.
N. For a manga with similar themes, "Hakumei to Mikochi" is wholesome and cute. It's has cooking and slice of life themes.
Thanks in advance, I would like to reread the two series I'm looking for!

The ending was very distinct as the customer that ran her own bar, just one day disappeared. The oji-san explains that "life goes on", he was the her and her sister's dream friend that lives in a world that the two sisters created. The dream world changed as they grow up, but he is the only constant. He is happy to console the girl who had a fight with her sister.
