Her answer is basically a yes.I know the pending answer isn't everyone's cup of tea, but consider this: the author decided to have her say she wants to improve until she's someone she's satisfied with. Sure, you could argue the confession is a motivator, but it's very refreshing and healthy she frames it as thriving to become better for herself.
That's not something you see often and I wish more people wrote their characters like that.
