@Jacky_My_Boy the site these manga chapters on were taken down by a DMCA claim, so they uploaded to Mangadex.

They aren't sniping the series, since all chapters posted are already translated. If they went and posted new chapters, you could say it was a snipe, but this is simply making sure the chapters they scanlated are somewhere everyone can read them.

@Red225 They had only translated up to chapter 13, which was over half a year ago. Chapters 14 to 16 are all new. This is 100% a snipe.

Also the last chapter they uploaded for this series was in May 2019, so basically they dropped it and now they come back like heroes to "reclaim" the series????

Is there an issue with someone else putting up their chapters with a different translation and typesetting? I could understand people getting mad if they translated chapters 17 onwards or so, but...

@Red225 They uploaded chapters that they had not translated before. Do those not count as new chapters? As for why putting up chapters that already have translations in "bad", here's a DM from Xereste himself:

At least when I did it, I posted them on a different site. They dropped this series months ago and came back to post here. They haven't even bothered to change the banner on their group page.
