OK, I see that many here thinks that Ojiro Makoto is a man. She is not. She does have a background making ecchi and borderline hentai though, I discovered that when I looked her up after reading Fujiyama-san wa Shishunki when that came out. I loved that understated slice of life romance, so I'm happy that she found her niche and keeps doing her thing. I have no complaint about her main girls being quite chunky and callipygian, although that's toned down a bit in her latest work. It's not at all uncommon for mangakas to start out doing hentai doujins etc., even someone as successful as Kiyohiko Azuma did that (as Jonokuchi Jouji). Good examples of hentai mangakas that have gone mainstream lately are Bota Mochito with the visually stunning and quite interesting fantasy Coffee Moon https://mangadex.org/title/45312/coffee-moon and Koume Keito with the awesome War's unwomanly face https://mangadex.org/title/36625/war-s-unwomanly-face based on Svetlana Alexievich's Nobel Prize-winning book (get the onions ready).
Both of them read by far too few people.
