Synchronized father and child what the fuck moment. :kek:

But I can totally relate, that train of thought is why I stopped having pets.
I'd say same...especially when the more time passes, the more I'm terrified of the day I'll lose my pet
And so sometimes I also think it's not worthy, to suffer the loss of a beloved pet.
But then, I think of all the happy moment I've spent with it and I say "it will hurt way too much, but I'm giving it love and receiving back even more love...that makes it worthy". Death comes for everyone no matter what, so is it really worth to miss on such a pure love "just because" you'll be extremely sad when it dies?

But enough with the cringy phrases...watch how either he becomes a bakeneko or Mii becomes a full human

Ah, he does make a good point.

From a normal cat's POV, WE humans may as well be long lived near "immortal" beings.

Since a cat's general lifespan rarely ever goes above 20 years.
Reminds me of a short story from a POV of a puppy where they see humans as these mythical creatures that live for centuries and watch over them over generations. It centered around the deaths of the grandfather in the family and an older dog that the grandfather owned. It ended with the puppy dropping this hard ass line about the older dog that went something like "He was the seventh of his family. I am the first of mine."

Darn that sounds interesting.

You don't remember the name?

The happiness you receive over the decade or two you have your pet more than trumps the sorrow of their loss; I say this as someone who lost their dog only 4 weeks ago. I'm devastated he is gone but couldn't be happier to have had him in my life.

"You sure about this one? When you said he likes cats, I didn't think you meant a cat lover."
"Trust me, we're working on it."
