Ninoya, just made me realise that Raika is like Amos from The Expanse (show & book series). He looks towards good people (Princess) to stear him in the right direction because his trauma makes him incapable of doing so on his own. At least that is what came to mind during that battle conversation.
Amos had Naomi then Holden to be his moral compass. Through Holden, he learned a lot and made friends/respected/protected good people as time went on. If you screwed with the people he cared about, then you were dead.
Anyway, so there were 5 siblings?! One seems to have died in that river memory and it seems that Princess failed to save them/him(?) I'm going to assume that was the youngest brother because they never bring up another sister. If so, then it's the reason she is hated... maybe. Who knows with this family.
You know, I thought that blurred comment with her eldest brother was going to be upsetting but I didn't think it was going to be heartbreaking. I wonder who murdered her mother now.
It's no wonder she got so flattered by big brother/father vibes from a total stranger. She never had a family to begin with.
