Dude what the hell was the point of showing off with cool armor and gun in the previous chapter and just ends up as total corpse bag baggage? With all of the acting cool too

I assume the guns don't get skills, so no growth and end up weak against anything powerful. Likewise, he was confused about the armor since it would weight them down too much, which is actually a passable excuse to why they didn't seemingly try to help him. These modern hunters likely sit there tanking enemy hits, firing machine guns in their faces slowly chipping away at their HP.

It just that grandeur speech, entrance, and getups is sooooo disappointing. Like i expected some cool parent moment and i know this is a way too show that MC has grown strong, but at least give the parent some credits and let them shine a little bit like won against the wolves and mandragora. That just low blow, the disrespect lol.
