I just don't understand why Nana didn't say she was in love with Rin from the beginning. Hell, it would have been an actual twist on the side-character-confessed-to-the-protag trope. Making it a double-twist was completely unecessary.

Yeah, I guess they have to think of a way to make things complicated. They probably don't want to shoo away readers (for now) who hate harems and at the same time they are trying to attract potential yuri fans. But yeah, this is unnecessary no matter what
