Man, it's kind of amazing how much better the anime adaption was for this part. Obviously both are going to have largely the same dialogue from the LN, but a lot of the jokes here in the manga (especially the plastic bottle one) just kind of fall flat in execution, and any emotional impact from the climactic Ako and Lucian/Rusian talk in her room at the end is all over the place here.
