If we're being exact, it isn't. People often think cuck and NTR are the same, but they aren't (there is an ECCHIcation on YT explaining the differences if you are curious). NTR always includes cheating, which isn't the case here since in this timeline, they were never together in the first place.

Story of this manga and Story of this Novel didn't align chronogically. Unless Author wants to change the Ending, that would be nice.

The stalking ends and the Revenge begins if i was the author i would Plot that sohei gets a knife and trys to kill the MC and i Bet this is whats going to happend in the next few chapters
At this Point any human being would do anything to make themeself feel better and i Bet He will plan to kill the MC that would be the normal course of Action

As @Mangamoz said, we're seeing the butterfly effects from the Sohei differences between source material and the adaptation. Fortunately or unfortunately, almost everything involving Sohei will be impacted from that point onwards. I suppose technically it's POSSIBLE to realign closer to the novel, but that would be a lot of effort and diverge further in the process for little real reward. It's still pretty close, but certainly moving a bit faster, apart from the actual content differences.

the last scenes is more of a slap to those that always hate NTR when the netori steals the women but this time is more of an opposite scenario when the supposed MC is the bad guy.
Anyways, this always reminds me of that annoying guy in a hentai site spamming his hate over the genre and criticize like a champ that all of it are already cliché. With only an exception if the story has some realistic scenario that involves some kind of drama and an ending that will satisfy how it would be in reality (ex. getting divorced). Then praising vanilla stories as if it doesn't even bother how cliché and repetitive it also. In short, the bias is real and his more of seeking attention from others that has the same mindset. In addition, he also somehow always questions the ending especially for example, Will the other person know the truth at the end? As if rubbing more salt on the wound.
