Oh no. Here's the unrealistically repressed gloomy dark-haired girl trope again.
Kaede-chan is great. She's a really good friend.

See, it's the little things like this in entertainment/art that separate the average from the good. The mangaka could've easily just made the father generic, uptight and almost invisible as a background character. Instead he made him the advisor of his daughter's club and had him be laid back and sociable unlike his daughter Koyuki.

It's attention and character design/world building like this that makes you appreciate the work even more so.

Why is her father treating her like she can't do anything on her own?
She's proven to be a great senpai and can make decisions on her own if she gets a little time. There's no need to do everything for her.

I feel like it's worth mentioning that I really enjoy the depiction of Honami's social anxiety, she isn't just a repressed lonely girl, but has actual relatable issues.

Some might say that she does fine normally, but she really doesn't, she puts up a facade and manages to get by, never really taking any risks. Whenever an actual relationship or connection via at risk she clenches up, and that is realistic.

Kaede keep getting cuter each chapter. Damn, artist, create a sequel featuring Kaede as MC
