It started great, but then the author decided to make it about friendship instead of romance (nothing wrong with it per se) and the manga began denying all previous chapters (in my opinion) while also losing it's sense of direction/soul/whatever you want to call it.

Great story, character development, and the like. While I wish it had more of a romance aspect, the author still did a great job with closing everything off
(also kaede is definetly one of my most favorite support characters in yuri manga)

I hate to be a homewrecker but... I'll have to drop this. :notlikethis: it's uhmm I guess.. not gay enough? not that it's a bad story, it's good! But it seems to lack what I had most expected from it, which is, yuri. I just wonder why the author decided to go the non-yuri route, All those moments of the short-haired girl simping on the long-haired girl seem a bit pointless now... But yeah, I think salamanders are cool!
(I read till chapter 34 btw.)

Felt really weird that the author decided against formalising the story as yuri, I enjoyed it but at the same time I feel like the impact of it not being fully yuri by the end weakened it a lot, especially considering a lot of the earlier chapters and the obvious connotations behind the whole frog and salamander metaphor that was constant throughout the story.
