Catherine should maybe look at all the facts ? Technically, Aoba won the peco one as she ended in charge of the design, even if she relied on Yagami to consolidate her designs. As for DBB, she should have won that one if the others didn't go "oh, let's leave the all important decision to the new director who has no experience at all and only chose based on her own preferences." (ok, on that one, Yun should have won, but once it went between Aoba and Momiji, Aoba should have won).
What pisses me the most is that Yagami is shown as taking pity on Aoba there. Doesn't really match what she claimed all other the place, even when Aoba wasn't within earshot.
Author really fishing for some big drama here, but it just feels way out of left field.

Catherine has been painted as logical and ruthless; the typical corpo talks but it is still so BS. The situation is basically the sponsor favors this artist to draw the key visual art. It should be fine if she offers a competition like usual. But no, from the very beginning, she goes ahead and tells the development team to let her baby handle it. Hit Aoba's spot by offering a competition after asking to let Hotaru draw.
Hotaru is a genius in art but at the same time, she's more or less have experiences like Aoba when it comes to working in a game company.
I see that the final arc is for Aoba to gain strength, confidence, and self-esteem, even against the 2 geniuses that she knows and admires. But the way it is presented is such a foul. Catherine is always a beach in my eyes from the beginning and it's worse now.
