Aahh so they wanted to have Aoba act like a senpai and also have the designs with room for improvement... If you put it like that, while the execution had its fair share of issues, you get the "ah, naruhodo" feeling.
I would cheer for this ship if Momiji wasn't living a married life already xD
Everything seemed really nice, thanks for the chapter!!!! if there's one... ONE little thing that bothered me was the very first panel, we're used to moe designs of course but Aoba looked like she was 10yo there XP maybe that's just me.

Turns out giving big responsibilities to someone who doesn't have the experience or didn't really have the superior designs to begin with was a bit of a mistake ! At least Momiji has the humility to realize this and to rely on the rest of the team more. I like her character a lot better when she's not presented as a natural genius/chosen one.

@Kojiro481 nah even Kagami wouldn't just create something from 0 and then go with it, adjusting and changing the designs is the most common thing in this line of work... We can all agree that the other had cooler designs but right now is just a normal day at work.
