Also I don't see the point of this new guy outside of forcing MC to get jealous. This situation just seems like an exact parallel of what happened to MC when he went into quarantine. Author just feels like he's stalling any kind of development between the 2 MCs.

I thought 55 was the closure chapter for the love triangle but the author just had to be braindead and milk the story again, seriously all you can come up with is love triangle in this scenario.

I re-read the conversation, which is like:

H: Like... Family?
N: No. The person I happened to be with was...
H: Happened by Coincidence?... Ah... I see. That sounds tough.

It's unclear to me if part of the dialogue was omitted, if Hata interrupted her before she could finish, or if she did stop talking and Hata had to pick it up from the silence.

Either way, it was a weird phone call.

Hata never explicitly asked her who's she was with. Feels like she just didn't want to worry him more. Anyways I think this development is just trying to highlight how isolated and powerless people were feeling during covid. Natsuki is only confined for 2 weeks and it's already taking a mental toll on her.
