New tag suggestion

I was thinking that as slavery as become as prevalent in manga as harem that we could add a "Slavery" tag as to help filter. For those that want it or to block it, as it is both a heavy subject and incredibly common among certain types of manga.
Adding a poll as well just to see if anyone else likes the idea or if I'm just crazy.

Since when slavery become prevalent in harem manga? Even though I've read a lot of isekai harem or generic harem, slavery as a thing isn't something that I encountered very often. It's very niche thing, and in my personal opinion isn't something that need to be added as a new tag.

While slavery is not a terribly common tag it is however a rather severe one, the like of smut and or sexual violence. While it may not seem as a rather important tag to most it can be a important tag to some; enough to change their mind on whether or not to read a certain manga.

How about no? Literally everything you can be offended about for Slavery is covered already with Sexual Violence, Gore and whatever shit that is. Even if they've been abused the shit out of, that's what those tags are for.


We don't not need more stupid tags when we're already having trouble on Mangadex with people abusing them and slapping them on everything.


Also, did it occur to you that the Slavery tag would literally be everywhere? Spam tagging it on everything because it seems like a good idea does nothing, it will end up like the Gore tag. The Gore tag is being slapped carelessly around so much, most users have gotten into a habit of IGNORING IT, which defeated the purpose.

personally i think this would be a HUGE help. too many times i get interested in a series just for it to have things like this. maybe it would get slapped on, but i doubt it, because that definition is fairly standard. would help root out a lot of the bad isekais, too.

@calvitre, just because there's slave content on some Isekai doesn't means it bad. Like @crazybars said, if this tag were added it would only create more confusing to more members because it will allow more people use it without understanding it fully. There will be more people abusing it than use it correctly.

I know, it might not be mad. But the point is it would be a good warning when some of those won't fall into those other categories. @Knonderd
