Tatsuya being called a Dragon comes from an alternate reading of "Ryu" (竜) that's used in the Japanese word for Tornado (竜巻 Tatsumaki), while Taiga's name is fairly obvious, it sounds like the English word, "Tiger". Just thought I'd mention that, given that it might not be readily apparent.
