Newly uploaded 1st chapter of new mangas unavailiable for the first few hours although shown in Home and Updates

I have experienced for several days now that the first chapter of a newly added manga is shown both on the "Home" page and the "Updates" page but when switching to the manga page you are shown the message "There are no chapters in your selected langage(s)." and if you open the reader it is empty save for the message "X This chapter is unavailiable." Only several hours later you then get access to the chapter after the unavailiability lasted two hours before, if not longer. That is something I never experienced before in the years I read on MD so I believe it to be some kind of bug or loading problem at the very least.

P.S.: This doesn't seem to be true for all newly added first chapters but it occurs quite often these days.

P.P.S.: The chapter which I checked last now has been unavailiable for three hours.

The reason is that many of these chapter 1's (or oneshots, etc.) of newly added manga are from first-time uploaders.
There is some sort of verification process behind-the-scenes to ensure MangaDex does not get overrun with spambots and troll releases (April Fool's Day notwithstanding).
Most of the time, several hours will pass before the actual pages of the chapter become visible.
Amusingly, the comments page of these chapters (which can still exist before the pages are available) will have many wondering just what the hell is going on, with some of the savvier ones just waiting it out patiently.

Its not a bug. Its the Moderators Queue. Like the above said, all new uploaders and their uploads get put into a queue for a moderator to manually aprove or deny.
Its been put into place because some people from a certain defunct site might think they are being "helpful" but mostly might be screwing things up.

Maybe it’s not a bug, it’s bad UX either way. If it’s in some moderation queue, just don’t show it. By the time the chapter is cleared, it will have disappeared from the front page.

Admin did say that if cleared, it'll be treated like it's newly uploaded & brought back to the front page.
I concur that if it's in mod queue, just don't show it on the front page tho.. No point showing up if nobody can read it.

The option "Show Unavailable Chapters" is iirc by default not enabled. Which means you've purposely decided to see said chapters.

Well, yes. Due to chapters getting deleted all the time, it is vital to have it enabled. However, IMHO an unavailable chapter is one that was available but isn’t anymore. A chapter waiting for mod approval was never available. For all intents and purposes, it does not exist for regular users.
