Tbf it is a country side school in Japan and they don’t really have officers in schools like the US does. Also we have seen at least 1 teacher so far and since the kids are in recess, I’m assuming that the teachers are just in their offices.

Will agree that this arc is hella weird though.

I mean they're capping kids outside like nothing and firing down the halls. Pretty sure the adults would be out and about calling the police.

Nobody dies from normal circumstances unless they're a bystander. MC has been shot, slashed, stabbed in the neck and is fine. Midori had her head smashed in.

You guys have police officers in the fucking schools?!? Oh, god lord... if this is true, you guys really have a fucking big problem with weapons in your country, police officers in schools IS NOT a normal thing in any other country outside US

True but even for this manga it's a bit extreme starting to believe that guy that said nezumi not human.

You guys have police officers in the fucking schools?!? Oh, god lord... if this is true, you guys really have a fucking big problem with weapons in your country, police officers in schools IS NOT a normal thing in any other country outside US

We don't or at most it's just security in case fights break out usually. Like you could say a grocery store has police but it's basically just a random security guy. I think it's better safe than sorry though (and some of the giant schools may have 1 or 2 cops if they're rich enough and because US Schools are usually massive with a bunch of teens which can be dangerous no matter the country).

Not in the school, but they are a phone call away. And if someone was just shooting kids on the school yard, and shooting guns down the halls, pretty sure they'd get called.

I know it sounds a bit crazy, so I'm rereading the story to see if it holds up as a theory

(btw Ako-kun working (with the mob guys) to train Nezumi in order to turn her into a killing machine was already planned toward the beginning of the story for those who don't know; we still don't know what Ako-kun relationship with the mobs is though)

Ah. She snapped. I think it was wrong(?) and unrealistic to think killers were going to just live happily ever after.
I can't think of a good way to end this positively without just erasing the plot up to this point.

It depends on the school. I personally have only seen police at the school where I taught when the DARE officer comes to give talks about drugs and the one time they did a drug search after two sophomores were obviously high during ELA class.

I definitely was still gunning for that until the last few chapters lol. But yeah I don't think it made much sense. Good to see author not go down a tropey route.

I don't get the dialogue. It makes it seem like Nezumi came to negotiate, but she's there explicitly to kill them. She's the one who gave them no choice.
Or am I misunderstanding something?
