We are gathered here to say farewell to nhentai and to commit it into the hands of God.

Lord our God, you are the source of life. In you we live and move and have our being. Keep us in life and death in your love, and, by you grace, lead us to your kingdom, through your Son, MangaDex, our Lord.

nhentai's death is a tragedy. For you the refugees it's like being left in the dark during a powercut. You feel lost. When the power goes out we search for something to give us light, a candle for example, even a small candle will do.
A candle to give you light at this time is MangaDex. Turn to MangaDex; for it will be the candle that will give some bit of light in the darkness of your lives at this time. You should have no doubt that God is with you in the pain and grief you are suffering. Again and again the Bible tells us that God is close to those who are suffering: "The Lord is close to the broken-hearted." (Ps. 34:18/19) "Blessed are those who mourn, they shall be comforted." (Matt 5:5)
It is natural to feel angry with God at a time like this. Have no fear in telling God exactly how you feel. There’s no point in praying to God with a mask on and feeling something different beneath. Don’t be afraid to share your grief with others. Talk, and talk, and talk. A trouble shared is half trouble. If we are a Weeb community we should be helping people to carry their crosses. Tragedy brings people together, but sometimes only for a while. I trust and pray that the people of this parish will help you to carry your cross for as long as you need.

Dang, it's really gone, man that gives me memories from far flung times indeed. Weird ones. I saw some strange things.

Wasn't this just one aggregate of like a dozen identical aggregates? If I recall my experiences correctly, it was frequently lacking content and had incorrect or missing artist/author names.

Nhentai was the otaku Pornhub hotpot, quantity but no quality or accuracy, though unlike other aggregators they didn't remove the credits pages and had reuploads, since there was no quality control for the bot. And yes, to manage all those horny boys they reduced image quality to less than 400kb per page, even the torrents were like that. Sadpanda (not Angry Panda) died but they kept copying other pages content, I remember that they started doing that from a webpage that heavily watermarked all the pages and they were mostly unreadable (also a lot of blurring). Like many things, an easy way to start but I sincerelly wish for all the aggregators to disappear, the owners get rich without contributing at all and you'd find a lot of Engrish and bad tagged works.

Well that sucks.

At least the absolute cancer that is the comment section of the website is gone.

Anyways, I can tell that nHentai went downhill when some H-manga/H-doujins from specific authors were removed because of FAKKU and Irodori.

Also, the website was filled to the brim with ads. From small banner ads to pop-ups that can possibly gave your PC cancer.

The website may be dead but there are other websites that can provide the same content, including this one. Before you browse them, please make sure that you wear protection (adblocks).
