I thought MC and the sister is not involved with the car accident. Does that mean the sister is dead because she is hospitalized and that mc proceeds to mercy kill her?

but it has to be paired with an advice to keep yourself happy. Wasting possibly the best time of your life (school/college years) completely on work is gonna leave you a pretty sad person. And even after that, you have to devote some time and money to keeping yourself happy, or you're just gonna burnout, get depressed, or just passively drift through life without any passion or strong feelings.
