New user get. To the folks responsible for this place, I just wanted to say thanks for building a site that seems like it actually works. Yanno, now that the forum is up today so I can say it. 😜
I just switched here from using a certain manga collecting site named after a certain omnipresent Japanese sword. They have this really bad quirk where the site will just randomly reload the entire chapter every few minutes, and sometimes locks up so hard you can’t even scroll until you force a refresh. Memory leak in the page or something, I dunno, not a coder. It’s a bigger issue when I’m reading on a single-bar hotspot out in the wild lands on my work breaks… all that reloading takes forever!
The few things I’ve read here so far have been so pleasantly problem free it’s a major relief by comparison. And the interface here is positively slick. Good design!
I’ve been busy building a little library marking the things I’ve read elsewhere so I can just pick up where I left off on things, and I’m quite happy about how well I was able to adjust the reader display to actually fit my screen for a change. Y’all done did good work.
Only issue I’ve run into (iPadOS, Safari) is once in a while a page would lock up, but a refresh solved it every time and it was pretty much always after I’d made several searches in rapid succession which is probably not normal use, so I don’t anticipate more of that now that I’ve got my bookmarks moved.
Well, that and a few things that have listings but no chapters in English, or that are behind where I was at. Guess we’ll see if the busy little bees uploading the good stuff get around to them. 😁
