Ngl really hate how chapters get split up, it ruins the flow.
Anyways, replace the FMC with a femboy and the story would be good
For monthly manga, it's not really frequent enough to keep interest for readers, so it's kind of obvious why they choose to split chapters. With web viewers instead of magazines it's getting more and more common. It's way easier for weekly manga to keep their readers with frequent releases, but monthly manga has a tendency to lose them quickly. So splitting the chapters make sense in that regard.
Also more releases also means more publicity on places they promote the manga like comic walker. You'll notice that for some manga they're trying to gain more interest and readers, they split up chapters more, but for manga with an already established fan base, they'll usually release full chapters. I think this is going to be in half chapters though since it's like that on the original web viewer.
It's honestly easier to scanlate half chapters too, because it's far less of a challenge scanlating a 20 page chapter than a 40 page chapter.
