Like I would basically call the mc an evolved human he seems be half monster, seeing what happend when monsters first appeared seems like they mutated from living things, if I had to say the mc was about to be mutated and he was about somewhere at 30% done with becoming mutated but since the flight attended killed the monster he still was somewhat human

Hes gotten stronger and stuff, and he got the ability to senses other monsters, when he's in dangerous situations seems he become blood thirsty and through what he says, it seems that monsters eat humans for so called "Life Energy" to survive
