Considering the world in this series is around... 14th century, then I think Halberd was pretty common soldier equipment. Honestly my most favorite medieval weapon.

Another fun fact:
City guards apparently use halberds as a way to combat fires, by using them to help ventilate fires (poking holes in the roof), gain access to fires (breaking down doors/walls), and assist in containing fires (demolish nearby flammable houses)

It is said that the practicality of the halberd gave inspiration to modern firefighting equipment (pike pole, halligan bar) to accomplish such similar roles

Sidenote: it was a bit difficult to find more than 2 sources that say this and i'm lazy, so do take it with a grain of salt
