It seems the guild saying not to interfere in the way was both for the benefit of the guild by not getting involved and thus a target over their heads and for the benefit for the adventurers who are not accustomed to killing people unlike the soldiers. Waste of life

There's still a huge lack of self-awareness. They're part of a guerilla attack and has killed people before, even if they're the defending army they don't have room to complain about combatants killing combatants.

I love this chapter so much and it'll probably be one of my favorite early chapters of any manga.

First is MC taking the halberd from the previous battle, and then the way he uses it is just so pleasing to see (halberds are also one of my favorite weapons, ever). Second is just how how distinct it is to see MC, a solider, fight and kill other humans with so much experience he seems numb to it. And compared that to the more naïve adventurer girl you can see how even though she's stronger they just live is such different worlds that she's practically powerless against MC, especially when it comes to the harsh reality of having her friends get killed by other humans instead of monsters they would've normally been against.

Also for you to call a soldier whose main job is to fight the enemy army a monster..is very stupid.

Plus y'all were killing them just fine using guerilla warfare which is more messed up cause guerilla warfare is to do damage to supplies or cause massive damage to enemies by killing or injuring severely

You probably already read it but a couple of chapters after this there's one of the best combat scenes I've ever seen in a manga. The action is still kind of indecipherable at times, but when it hits, it hits.

To all of you guys. I'm very disappointed of how easily you can defend an invading army and patronize civilians who had no choice but to take arms to defend their country despite absolutely hating having to kill other people. The MC and the army he belongs to are the invaders. They are the bad guys and MC is drowning his guilt under the "For duty" guise
