Kasumi is an interesting character from the main theme perspective but also really funny and makes for good romance. Really an all in one character.

Yeah, it's definitely more in the vein of Kurosawa.

I still like it, though I would pay good money to see Nikaidou try to survive a golf-related death game.

This ain't a sports manga or a romance manga, it's a cringe manga. Only the strongest and purest souls can read this level of cringe without turning away in shame for the characters. It is the ultimate shame test.
