Nikaidou Hell Golf

I'm vibing with this. Originally I thought it would be like Kanji, but I'm really enjoying how the author is exploring the trials of being a "failed artist" and how it's not over till its over.

[Fernabo]

Fukumoto hardly misses, it's uncanny how this man can be so consistent

At the beginning, I really thought it would be about a failed pro golfer forced to enter some underground golf competition involving weird rules and high stakes. It took mee too long to understand that it is simply about a golfer who just doesn't want to give up. I guess it is its own genre and it's quality work, but not my cup of tea at all.

Looks interesting.

Fukumoto has two types of manga, usually with a little bit of overlap.
There's his gambling manga, and then his life sucks manga.
Kaiji is kind of both, but it's nice to see another one like Kurosawa.

I think you dropped it a bit too early, shonky thinks I've never seen from a Fukumoto manga are happening.
