Kinda, they did not make sure they could efficiently use the bag before ousting the MC and unless it has the "desired item rises to the top" feature common in many stories a decent, memorized and enforced organization system is needed.

Yes, but the problem is that they do not understand exactly what went wrong.
The issue is not lack of intelligence, but that they made a incorrect assumption long before the story started and have reinforced that in their minds over time.

The assumption is the Mc provided nothing to their team, he did more than most would expect.
But the leader is apparently also a entitled noble, so arrogance and ego abound.

It should come up soon-ish, the Mc finds out decently early in the WN.
You have to pay to get your skills assessed, and can not just check them.
Since they just treated and thought of the MC as a tool, not a companion or person, they never let him get his skill assessed, or even looked into skills he might be able to develop.

There is a rare conditional buff that can be developed under certain circumstances their mistreatment forced the Mc into.
He developed it and they have attributed large parts of their growth to themselves when it is form the MCs buff which activates unconsciously.
They no longer meet the requirements to receive its benefits.
