It seems that each slipper starts a new timeline. I'm guessing each overwrites the previous one. It would be interesting if there was some interference from other time lines

Yes, the burger guy remembered Wagatsuma from his original past. So he came from a timeline that was already warped.
In 3 years the next slipper will remember Gaku.
I am sure Wagatsuma will return. His previous bad end had him up and leave, in this timeline it will be different.

Yeah. Oddly enough, that The Burger guy didn't see his young self when slipping back to the past and Gaku never ask either. Seems like, the old man that time travelled had completely erased the younger version of him.

He's still in middle school and has no interesting part to play right now. I haven't done the math but presumably he'll go to one of the five delinquent schools when Gaku and Harumi are in their second or third year at Aoba. He might pop up then.
