I’m a little disappointed this chapter makes her look catastrophically bad at cooking, when I know for a fact previous instances generally tasted okay (so long as the right ingredients were used), but might look or feel weird.
Those rice balls were representative of her past cooking attempts, to me. Maybe it is because she was thinking about people she cared about those times. Hell, the only problem with her valentines chocolates was that they were salty, not sweet, but salty chocolate can be nice, too. Hell, there’s chocolate coated pretzels.
But, anyway, I liked the ending, at least. To be honest, Raku doesn’t need a housewife, though. Kinda weird to obsess over shit he can do himself, anyway, or have a chef do for him, if necessary. Ideally, his partner should be able to cover blind spots in his skillset or whatever. Marika’s preparations for being his wife are all based on outdated information. She is ill-suited, and refuses to accept it.
