What a phenomenal read... From the very beginning, I could tell what they were doing, with two characters that collide, entangle, and irrevocably change each other. They start out hating each other, but grow to cherish their time together over time.
The guy has a pre-existing crush that moves at a glacial pace and represents the simpler, more peaceful life he had and was hoping to have before his true love slammed into him one fateful day.
Despite all the messiness, they ultimately work. It's just like Raku and Chitoge's cooking together: It may look like a mess, but it tastes amazing. The metaphor was there from very early on, with that cooking class. In fact, there were so many metaphors for how messy but beautiful their love was all through the story.
