Ah, so Haru used to read it a lot, too, and those pages just... came off the binding? So nobody actually tore them out intentionally...

And, it's Christmas again, so Chitoge's off to spend time with her mother, with less of a hectic situation this time. It's great to see that. I think that's still one of my favorite arcs. The transfer arc was amazing, too, to me. Just about all the times Raku puts everything on the line for Chitoge. The boy needs to really reflect on that.

Also, wait, I thought closing ceremonies tended to be held before Christmas actually rolled around..? I'm a bit confused. To be fair, I've never actually been in Japan, it just feels like stories separate the two events by at least a few days, generally.

And, wow... Yeah... I know what Yui has said previously basically casts doubt on how much the picture book and promise actually matter in terms of who he ends up with, so I can't really have hope for Kosaki at this point. And, considering the lack of comments on this chapter, I feel like many that got this far felt similarly. But there's also the possibility the picture book ended up in Kosaki's possession from Chitoge, as well. We never got confirmation, so far, that Chitoge had a separate copy.

But, either way, it's irrelevant to how Raku feels right now, regardless of what happened 11 years ago. His heart is clearly set on Chitoge, even if he won't admit it to himself yet. All these efforts to get Raku and Kosaki together feel painfully futile against the inexorable tide of this story's overall progression.

It would just be a bonus if it somehow was still Chitoge back then, as well.

It definitely wasn't Yui, since he has always seen her as a sister. And Marika's bedridden state would make her extremely unlikely, as well, on top of the fact he clearly didn't think too much of her based on the glimpses into their time back then- was just another kid to hang out with and help connect with. Because that's Raku's gift.

He connects people.
