This manga has had garbage-tier character writing since Chapter 1 lol at least the plot itself is ... fine, i.e. it's basically just The Typical Isekai Story #39456.

Tropes galore, all we're missing is "I miss bathing and rice" and him somehow getting a katana. And maybe introducing modern concepts to a pseudo-medieval world lol

He was a friendless loner and a bullying victim in his previous life. Now that he suddenly has friends, moreover they are beautiful girls, he just can't keep his cool. It's impossible for him to keep secrets from them, as he's so glad to have them around and have them pay attention to him. Maybe if the secret is something he would be afraid of revealing, it could be different. His origin is likely such a detail, as he couldn't be sure how how the girls would react if they heard about it.

It is mentioned back in chapter 8.2 that Sierra thought his Masamune name was similar to a country called Gikoku that was across the sea from the Vanome continent. It is mentioned that have names of similar origin that is used commonly there. His Adventurer name is still Nito, he probably decided to make Masamune his nickname.

He could easily explain with his Mimic ability that his real name is Nito, but he likes being called Masamune. Only Toa with her Demon Eyes of Truth and others like her would know the truth.
