Thanks for the updates. A thirty page chapter then right into a sixty page chapter. Felt a bit odd with especially how this one seemed to just end suddenly. That said, this arc featuring more of Kino's "meddling" should be interesting to read.

Holy cow this is good. Never knew this manga existed. Nine chapters flew by like nothing.

The poor little girl is probably experiencing some bad neglect.
I don't think Kino can handle another child, but I hope that if she isn't adopted by our family that someone loving will care for her like she deserves.

@Summosas Yes Kina is such a great guardian. She already has so much on her own plate but doesn't ever use that as an excuse.

@rockiNangeL I was so surprised to find a list of yaoi beside this fluffy well-written SOL. Is the yaoi by this author good though?

Honestly, she doesn't look that old now that I get a closer look at her. I was worried it was a case of "my daughter got pregnant at 13 and now my life is a million times more stressful." Which, if it had gone it that direction, would have been very, very dark...

As for the other girl...Yeah, she's a child neglect victim. Call CPS after you give her a warm bath. It couldn't hurt.

I hope this doesn't turn into a yaoi manga...@Nixnaw

@Nixnaw the yaoi this manga was adapted from focuses more on the romance than on raising his daughter (but she has a lot of scenes). The pursuer is a bit pushy and there are sex-scenes towards the end but they're not that explicit. It's not bad but plotwise on the weaker side.

@rockiNangeL Thanks for the update. I read the first few chapters and it wasn't the type of manga I was looking for. This manga is definitely a lot stronger in its characters.

Oh my heart, that is a neglected child right there. If mum isn't picking up, then she's either run away from her daughter and home, or she's died and is still in the house - at which point daughter is having to defend for herself.

Either way, it's a tradgedy of epic proportions.

@Multitules Yeah, I was wondering about that. Although it's not totally out of character for this manga--the slice-of-lifeyness has meant that some places that would normally seem like a setup for some plot point, weren't, whatever just happened normally. But still, it's a bit abrupt.
