I view it more as getting an outside perspective on what she needs to fix. Being able to identify your flaws, even with a self-depreciating personality, is very difficult and Rihito is the person who knows her best. She wants to do the work, but she does need help knowing where to start.

I'm still not sure how much of it is intentional on the author's part, but Rihito is the best Demisexual representation I've ever seen in manga. He more or less spells it out this chapter that he's essentially never interested in anyone, but it's obvious that Noa is special to him and the longer things go, the more interested he becomes, just like demisexuals IRL.
